Keepsake Wood UrnPets are becoming so much of our lives that they tend to go everywhere with us-on vacations, walks, visits, shopping and where ever they are accepted.  Ottawa, Ontario has decided to allow riders to take their pet on the city’s transit system as  long as they are in cages.

A request by Responsible Doge Owners of Canada requested from members of the city’s citizens’ adversory group on transit an endorsment. The organization said it was time for Ottawa to adopt a policy similar to other major cities in Canada. They want pets in crates or small cages small enough to sit on people’s laps or fit under seats allowed on regular buses in off-peak hours. Many people will benifit from changes of rules such as the seniors, low income earners and people with disabilities who need the presence of a service animals for security and comfort. This will aid people taking thier pets shopping, visits, recreation and trips to the veterinarians.

This is a step up for pet owners before only service animals like guard dogs for the blind were allowed on the bus. Studies in other cities have shown little to worry about. Therefore it is logical to think that is a safe, modern idea and a move into the future as othere cities are doing.

We take them everywhere therefore we show them respect they need when we pick out cremation pet urns in styles of wood, brass, photo where we can add personalized touches making our dog, cat pet urn customized to represent  our pet . They are so  much a part of our lives and give us comfort whereever we go even on the bus.
