This is a way for people to give back that love to pets. The Pet Trust Fund was established in 1986. The OVC Pet Trust Fund is dedicated to advancing health of beloved companions through research into new treatment and support for training new veterinarians. This all helps to make our pet’s life easier, fulfilled and to live longer. 
The OVC Pet Trust enables pet owners to maintain a positive means of coping with their pet loss as well as a loving means to honour their pet’s memory of their pet. This trust offers pet owners an opportunity to advance the veterinary medicine and ensure that their special pets and other animals and friends will receive the best veterinary care. This is just another way for people to cope with pet loss.
